Welcome to the #littleheartsforgrace Charity CAL page
The Story
Grace is the little girl of a good friend of mine and Jen of @justlittlejen. At the age of 3, Grace has just undergone her third open heart surgery to help her cope with a condition she was born with - half a heart. Since her birth, Grace's family have tirelessly raised money for charities that have helped their little girl. In particular, Little Hearts Matter and Bristol Children's Hospital.
Now, Jen and I would like to help, and we would love it if you could help us too!
The CAL
Being the yarn lovers that we are, Jen and I decided to help the best way we know: crochet! We have brought together an AHMAZING set of eight designers, who have very kindly given their time to design Afghan squares. What we would like you to do is chose one (or more!) of the eight designs, make a square, and send it to us. The CAL will run from 2 Dec 2017 to 31 Jan 2018, we are then hoping to have enough squares to make a blanket to raffle in connection with Grace's charities.

What To Do
Make
Have a look at the squares below, chose one you like, and click on it to download the pattern.
All the squares are worked in DK yarn, and should work up to a finished size of 15cm. Grace's favourite colour is purple, so we would love the squares to be made in purples and pastels.
Send
Once you have made your square(s), please send them to:
In Stitches, 22 Westward Road, Stroud, Gloucestershire, GL5 4JQ
Please mark your envelopes with a heart so we know what goodies are inside! This is our local yarn shop, which has kindly agreed to help.
Donate
UK laws governing raffles are pretty tight, so we will only be able to raffle the blanket locally and with the charities' approval, and not online. But if you would like to donate even just £1 or $1 to help support these wonderful charities and in return for the designers' free patterns, we have set up a JustGiving page where the money will go direct to the charity.
